PUSA Basmati Rice

Pusa Basmati Rice is also called "Todal". It is a hybrid semi-dwarf plant with most of the qualities of Traditional Basmati Rice. It is nearly same or better to traditional basmati rice in terms of its fragrance, alkali content and taste). The only difference between 1121 Basmati Rice and Pusa Basmati Rice is the rice length (PUSA Basmati rice length is less compared to 1121 Basmati Rice).

PUSA basmati grade was invented by Indian Agriculture Research Institute, Delhi to assure better return for farmers and a little cheap option for Basmati Rice lovers. The PUSA Basmati Rice crop matures early with good average yield compared to traditional basmati rice.
